Job Summary

Are you seeking a new administrative challenge with an opportunity to develop your skills in a thriving, supportive organisation?

This is a new role for Redbridge Quits Smoking - Via’s Specialist Smoking Cessation Service for the London Borough of Redbridge. Our service is co-located in Ilford with other Via colleagues from our adult and young people’s substance misuse and sexual health services.

This role has been created to provide professional, efficient, and effective support to our team and anyone contacting us, to ensure our specialist smoking cessation service maintains a high standard of responsiveness, in order to achieve our service objectives – helping more people who live, work, or study in Redbridge to go smoke-free and quit smoking.

We welcome applications from people who are interested in a new challenge in an administrative role supporting our team of experienced smoking cessation advisors, apprentices, and volunteers, and working with our team leader to develop the role and new processes.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, the administrator will:

Support the team leader in developing and implementing processes and systems to manage referrals into our service and booking them into a wide range of clinics and satellites in locations across the borough. Support the team leader in managing orders and stock for supplies of NRT, vape, Carbon Monoxide monitors, and other items required by the team. Managing appointment slots in clinics delivered by our own advisors and other partners who are subcontracted to deliver smoking cessation support. Regularly monitor all correspondence into the service, and ensure it is responded to promptly. Lead on recontacting clients who disengage from support (lost-to-follow-up) or who we have not been able to book in to start treatment. Lead on managing the ordering, distribution and replenishing of posters and leaflets across the borough, with the support our apprentices and volunteers. Other duties as required to support the effective running of the team. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of expanding a service to deliver specialist advice and support to improve the health and wellbeing of our thriving local communities.

This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. Our usual hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 with some occasional evening and weekend work as required on a rota within the team.

The Redbridge Quits Smoking service is based in Ilford, close to the station.
