Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys being part of a team. This is an opportunity to join the ERS@Home Team as an Administration Assistant. You must have excellent communication and IT skills commensurate with this role.

The position is based at Aerodrome House Gosport.

You will be responsible for day to day administration tasks such as managing and inputting referrals onto our systems. Making and receiving telephone calls, ordering supplies and all other administrative duties as required by the service.

We are looking for someone who likes to be busy; works well within a team and is able to communicate well with staff and members of the public. You will be an effective and experience administrator, comfortable with using your own initiative.

As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach. Previous experience of working within an NHS environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive administrative support for the ERS@HOME Team

To provide an excellent customer service experience for all patients and any relatives at all times

To manage the phone line and take messages for all staff groups

To update the RiO system in accordance with standard operating procedures

To update data and record accuracy regarding patient information held on Trust IT Systems

To provide cross site cover to support the needs of the service

The transformation will happen in staggered stages; Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services transitioning in early May 2024. The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.

Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
