About the Role: As a Youth Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in our team.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues to create a supportive environment.
  • Demonstrating resilience, patience and understanding in challenging situations.
  • Using your natural flair to bring smiles to the faces of those you work with.
  • Being an attentive listener and providing emotional support.
  • Enjoying film nights, baking sessions and games with the young residents
  • Averaging 40 hours per week, on a 3-week rotating shift pattern, generally involving 2-3 shifts per week. Shifts between 08:30 to 22:00.

This is initially a temporary position with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position after 12 weeks.

To apply for this role you will need to hold the following:
  • Valid mandatory training certificates relating to the support of vulnerable young people (i.e Safeguarding Vulnerable Children, First Aid, Health & Safety etc)
  • A minimum of 3 months of paid experience working within a residential childcare setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate, dated within the past 6 months or registered on the update service. This certificate must contain include checks relating to the "DBS Children's Barred List information" section.
  • A NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) qualification.

Please note if you do not hold valid training certificates or a up-to-date DBS, we are able to assist you in getting these.

You will be paid between £12.00 to £12.75 per hour, dependent on the days / hours worked.
