What you’ll do

The Data Migration Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of Data Migration activities, ensuring the seamless transition of key data (Customer, Product data) from existing legacy systems to Target system. The role will involve working with cross-functional teams across various locations (mainly UK and India) to plan and deliver the required outcomes. Key to this role is your ability to build relationships across teams, establish governance structures and controls. There is also an expectation of reporting into senior stakeholders and the ability to produce reports and status updates to this audience.

You’ll also:

Work with the Technology and Data SMEs to define and execute all aspects of the Migration Plan required to move data from legacy systems to Target Systems.  Coordinate and work with various Business and Technology teams to plan timely delivery (build, test, deploy) of all the components involved in the migration process. Act as a bridge between the Business Teams and Technology/Data SMEs to ensure efficient data migration and on time delivery. Produce and maintain the data migration plan in production environment and the process to monitor the progress and remediate any challenges. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate project progress, and address any challenges that may arise during the migration process.

Who you are

Proven working experience of managing multiple project and delivery assignments (preferably in data migrations) for complex global organisations. Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and managing various project and programme teams, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance. Proven ability to complete projects end to end and full life cycle, according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and also able to adapt style depending on audience and stakeholder (up to senior management). Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Exposure and understanding of working in SAFE or Agile environments, with experience of at least one of the platforms – Azure or Jira & Confluence.
