Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an EP&R Technical Support Officer to be engaged on a permanent basis in Bristol, with site visits 2/3 days a week.

About the Opportunity

The client is seeking a EP&R Technical Support Officer, in this role you will support the development and delivery of emergency preparedness arrangements for the site in line with the project milestones. The tasks will support activities related to the development of arrangements, ensuring the operational workforce is trained and all the necessary procedures implemented, ensuring facilities have the appropriate equipment, systems, as well as working with the construction emergency preparedness team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to nuclear operational arrangements.

Key responsibilities:

-Experience of Emergency Planning and Health and Safety Legislation.
-Strong problem solving and organisational Skills.
-Must be able to work independently and demonstrate excellent communication/interpersonal and influencing skills.
-Professional qualities including accuracy, tenacity, diplomacy, result-oriented and teamwork-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

-HNC or equivalent qualifications in a science, radiation protection, engineering or related discipline.
-Previous experience of developing and maintaining emergency arrangements.
-Experience of engaging with external stakeholders, including regulators or 3rd party auditors.
-Experience of working in a large project delivery organization is desirable.
