Excellent communication skills are required to communicate and form close working relationships with administrative support teams, Consultants, WelshPAS (Myrddin) Support Team, Care Group Managers, Corporate Information Department, Data Quality Department and external stakeholders including local authority colleagues.

Provide and present complex, and sometimes contentious information to Senior Managers and Clinicians in a way that is sensitive and understandable.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Qualified to Degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience or training, plus further staff or project management knowledge. Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent level of skills, knowledge and experience. Knowledge of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities targets and waiting lists.

Desirable

An understanding of waiting list management. Knowledge of Welsh PAS (Myrddin), FACE, WCCIS, Clinical Portal or Swansea Bay WPAS. Management/Leadership qualification. Project Management qualification.

Experience

Essential

Experience of working within the NHS. Experience in the use of electronic systems/databases. Project management experience with demonstrable outcomes. Experience of working in a busy office environment. Experience of collecting, collating, analysing and presenting waiting list information/data.

Desirable

Experience of managing a team of staff.

Skills

Essential

Customer care focus and confidence in dealing with client information.Keyboard skills with familiarity of Microsoft office software Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Report writing skills. Presentation skills.

Other Role Requirements

Essential

Welsh Speaker (Level 1) or willingness to work towards achieving this level. Flexible to the needs of the service and able to respond to department changes and priorities.
