Position Overview

The Community Support Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering project and managerial assistance across various initiatives within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Care Group.

This position entails the oversight and analysis of activity and waiting times data, ensuring accurate reporting and monitoring.

The individual will also assist in the management of medical staffing schedules and oversee administrative and clerical personnel within the Care Group.

  • Provide comprehensive project and managerial support, which includes managing projects in multiple areas, assessing project outcomes, and offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, utilizing initiative and exercising discretion within established occupational policies.
  • Oversee the line management of administrative support personnel within the assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A degree or equivalent experience, along with additional training in staff or project management. A postgraduate diploma or equivalent level of skills and knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities targets and waiting lists is essential.

Desirable

  • Understanding of waiting list management and knowledge of relevant systems.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience within the NHS, proficiency in electronic systems/databases, and a proven track record in project management with measurable outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience in team management.

Skills

Essential

  • A strong customer care focus, confidence in handling client information, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Other Role Requirements

  • Welsh language proficiency (Level 1) or a commitment to achieve this level. Flexibility to adapt to service needs and departmental changes is required.
