Job summary

The Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) role in our community service is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the Rapid Response and Home First Service.

Main duties of the job

Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients in general rehabilitation. Determining clinical diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans. Providing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to patients with complex acute and/or chronic conditions. Managing your own caseload, including assessment, treatment, and support of clients. Applying specialist skills in assessment and treatment within the General Medical Rehabilitation care remit. Supporting students on placement and providing mentorship. Contributing to the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of the therapy service provided to General Medical Rehabilitation patients. Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and their families. Knowledge of evidence-based practice and the ability to apply it in your interventions. Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with the multidisciplinary team. Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest research and advancements in the field.
