We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients, focusing on improving their cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and abilities.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans aimed at maximising patients' independence and quality of life.
Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to support patients in managing the challenges associated with dementia.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and family members, to ensure holistic care.
Provide education and support to patients' families and caregivers, helping them understand and cope with the progression of dementia.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' progress and treatment plans.
Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with best practices in dementia care.Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
HCPC registration.
Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a dementia care setting.
