TheOpportunity:

Reporting to theSurvey Delivery Manager this role will be accountable for leadingand managing the geoscience team to ensure the successful deliveryof projects.

A key role within the surveydepartment the Geoscience Reporting Manager is responsible foroverseeing the quality of geophysical data associated deliverablesand final interpretive reports.

As theGeoscience Reporting Manager you will lead and manage a highlyskilled team of onshore and offshore geophysicists to deliver thehighest quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle fromthe tendering and planning stages during offshore operationsinterpretation through to final reportdelivery.

You will have overall responsibilityover the output of your team you will lead on quality control andquality assurance and you will ensure your team has the resourcesrequired to deliver according to project schedules andbudgets.

MainResponsibilities

  • Developingimplementing & executing strategy; geophysical datainterpretation and reporting.
  • Document& implement a geophysical data QA/QC interpretation andreporting strategy aligned to the objectives of the business toensure the achievement of financial operational &technological targets.
  • Effectively communicatethe strategy to all relevant stakeholders ensuring collectiveeffort & attention is put towards to achievement ofstrategic objectives making changes where necessary to achieveresults.
  • Proactively identify and mitigatewhere necessary any risks/threats to the achievement of strategicobjectives working with others as necessary to highlight manage& overcome these.
  • Assist in tenderingactivities as and when required by providing input on geosciencetender activities within the requisitetimeframes.
  • Lead & manage thegeoscience team to produce high quality data deliverables andreports.
  • Ensure that the scope of all projectsis delivered safely whilst meeting all financial andschedulerelated targets.
  • Act as the escalationpoint for any projectrelated incidents/issues ensuring these areresolved in the most effective & efficientway.
  • Act as the point of contact for anygeophysicalrelated data and reporting client issues as agreed withthe PM.
  • Deploy offshore as/when required toadequately manage surveyrelatedissues/incidents.
  • Be accountable for allgeosciencerelated processes & procedures ensuring a bestpractice approach to everything we do.
  • Championcontinuous improvement initiatives both within the survey team& the broader business to help create a culture ofexcellence & driveefficiencies.
  • Supporting the offshore databackup and ship to shore process so that your team receive the datathey need for processing andinterpretation.
  • Responsible for overseeing thatall geophysical data is processed interpreted and reported in linewith procedures and that results are presented in a professionalaccurate and concise manner.
  • Produce insightfulreports for various audiences within the business at regularintervals

Youshould apply if youhave:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. inMarine Geophysics / Marine Geology orequivalent
  • Programme or project managementqualification(desirable).
  • Significant experiencein the acquisition interpretation and reporting of geophysical data(side scan sonar subbottom profiler magnetometer MCUHRS data) usingindustry standard software (SonarWiz Kingdom Oasis Montaj RadExPro).
  • Experience in the supervisionand line management ofgeophysicists.
  • Technicalunderstanding of survey technology systems equipment &software.
  • Advanced MS Office skillsparticularly Excel Project &SharePoint.
  • Experience working withintegrated management systems(ISO).
  • Dedication to quality controland assurance.
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills with the ability to build & develop ateam
