An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Inpatient Physiotherapy team at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

The Churchill Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer services and other specialities, including Specialist Surgery, Renal and Transplant, Clinical and Medical Oncology and Clinical Haematology.

We are recruiting a full time Band Physiotherapy Assistant. The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions to patients on multiple inpatient wards within the Oxford Cancer Centre and Renal and Transplant Service at the Churchill Hospital.

Therapy services within the Churchill Hospital are highly valued and are seen as a critical part of the delivery of effective multi-professional care.

You will work closely with experienced physiotherapists to provide rehabilitation and support to people throughout their treatment pathway.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team working skills, as well as effective communication, time management skills and an ability to problem solve. This post is an ideal opportunity for an individual with experience of working in a healthcare setting to work as part of an acute specialist therapy team.

Main duties of the job To work as a member of the Churchill Therapies Team to plan and provide programmes of therapeutic activity for patients, within the framework laid down by therapists. To promote patient goals to enable early and safe discharge from hospital. To assist the Therapy Team with a range of duties. Implement and evaluate basic therapy interventions for patients in activities relating to their treatment programme. To record patient information. To input data onto IT systems. To maintain rehab equipment in the department, order, clean and communicate with suppliers. Working for our organisation
