We are working with a alternative provision in Liverpool who are recruiting TA's to join their team in September 2024. The provisions aim to provide students with a calm, pastoral and nurturing learning environment. They are provided with high standards of education and will be provided with the skills to succeed and hopefully intergated back into mainstream. 

The role will consist of working as a Teaching Assistant 32 hours per week Monday-Friday. This is temp to perm so after 1 term there is a opportunity for a direct contract.

The ideal candidates will have experience of supporting students with a personailised curriculum and wll be able to build relationships and help students overcome any obstacles and barriers to learning. You will also support emotional barriers and manage behaviour.

The roles we have are temp to perm contracts.

Roles and Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the smooth transition of new pupils into the school community.
  • Providing personalised 1:1 support to students, tailoring your approach to their unique needs.
  • Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences for small groups of pupils.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a holistic and effective support system.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH and those struggling with mainstream.
  • A genuine passion for providing a pastoral system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
