ABL Health delivers the Integrated Health Improvement Service, Your Health Dudley, commissioned by the Dudley Council Public Health Team. This transformative service will play a central role in improving the health and well-being of residents of Dudley. The service will provide integrated behaviour support to help people move more, drink less alcohol, stop smoking and lose weight. The service will also offer wellness coaching for families, deliver community health checks, offer advice and guidance, and proactively signpost to relevant organisations. All of this is embedded in sustainable behaviour change and positive well-being.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Obesity ProfessionalLead, Weight Management and Well-Being Services Quality and Improvement Lead, ProfessionalLead for Smoking Cessation, and Professional Lead for Mental Health and isdirectly line-managed by the Divisional Operations Lead.

This is a demanding job, but you will receive help from ABLs highlyexperienced, friendly, multi-disciplinary team of Health and Social CareProfessionals, Business Intelligence, Service Development, Governance, Finance,Communication and Marketing, Business Development, and existing experienceddelivery teams will be available to support you to drive the Service forward.
Your key responsibilities will be:
You will lead the day-to-day operations, ensuring theservice meets its expected KPIs. You will lead the various teams and nurtureand upskill each individual while setting service direction through servicedevelopment plans. You must embed robust governance, health and safety, andadministration procedures while ensuring the service uses its resourceseffectively to fulfil its contractual obligations. This will require workingclosely with the Regional Manager and managing the contract with commissioners.You will ensure the service remains people-powered, keeping the service uservoice at the heart of everything we do.
As Head of Service, your key responsibilities include:
Senior andoperational leadership of Your Health Dudley(Integrated Health Improvement Service).
Manage the staff and subcontractors.
Driving the vision of theservice with staff, partners, stakeholders, and commissioners.
Working closely with the Weight Management Quality and Improvementlead and the Professional Lead for Smoking Cessation to drive theoutcomes-based service delivery model and achieve specific KPIs regardingweight management, alcohol and smoking.
Leading and ensuring active stakeholder engagement todevelop an awareness of the service, ensuring that partners develop effectivereferral pathways into the service and effective referral pathways out of ourservice to sustain behaviour change and meet other needs.
Analyse Internal, local, and national data to impact anddirect service outcomes and develop service plans.
Foster andencourage innovation with the staff team and partners to ensure the serviceengages with priority groups, health inclusion groups and prioritywards/areas.
Performance management of theservice, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of all services in line with ABLsintegrated governance framework.
Developing service reports of excellent quality, includingcontract management, performance reports, social values, case studies andservice user and partner feedback.
Representing the organisation and service at local and regional stakeholders,networking and ICS events.
Driving service innovation utilising ABLs s continuousimprovement system, which includes delivery staff in leading innovation andservice development supported by specialist leads.
Working with clinical, community, social care, educational, and VCSEpartners and statutory stakeholders to deliver safe, effective, person-centredcare pathways and, where possible, co-deliver / co-locate to maximiseintegration and prevent duplication.
Work with ABL engagement and communications teams to implement andcontinuously develop the communications and marketing strategy, servicepromotion and engagement strategy.
Building strategic relationships across the area, developingopportunities to expand ABLs work across the ICS footprint.

Qualifications
Essential
Degree (or equivalent experience) in the health-related field: Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Public Health, Community Health, Health Improvement, Community Development.
Desirable
Masters Qualification or equivalent. Quality improvement certification or equivalent.

Delivery/management experience , weight management, smoking cessation, health checks or behaviour change.
