Job Duties:
  • Provide one-on-one support and tutoring to students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Create tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Assist students in developing academic skills and achieving their learning goals
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and teachers
  • Collaborate with educational professionals to implement effective teaching strategies
Required Qualifications:
  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong understanding of SEN requirements and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an SEN tutor

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and learning difficulties
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional certifications in SEN education
  • Experience in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Working Conditions:

The role involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents in an educational setting. The work hours are full-time, and the tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England, Essex, Tilbury area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
