Registered Nurse - Nightshift Contract:

  • £23 per hour
  • Full-Time
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Care Plans: Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Observe daily interactions and conditions, ensuring all care documentation is accurate, legal, and clear for the team.
  • Leadership: Organize and guide your team each shift, ensuring everyone knows their role in delivering top-quality care.
  • Seamless Transitions: Oversee shift handovers with clear communication to ensure continuity of care.
  • Health Monitoring: Perform routine observations and manage health needs with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Medication Management: Safely administer medications, strictly adhering to MAR sheets and protocols.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns empathetically and urgently.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage and support residents in daily activities, fostering autonomy while providing hands-on assistance when needed.
  • Feedback Responsiveness: Act on team input to prioritize resident health and well-being.
  • Champion Respect: Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Encouraging Engagement: Facilitate social interactions and activities, enriching residents' lives and creating a vibrant community.
  • Safety First: Maintain a vigilant eye on health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all.
  • Support Nutrition: Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to act swiftly in emergencies, utilizing the on-call system and reflective practices to continuously improve our care.

About You:

  • You are a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
  • While care home experience is a plus, your passion for care and dedication to improving residents' lives are what matter most.
  • You have a natural ability to connect with peopleresidents, families, and colleaguesbringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
  • Communication is your superpowerwhether you're discussing a resident's needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team, you do it with clarity, empathy, and respect.
