HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive individual who is willing to use their engineering knowledge to enhance our team. They will be innovative, demonstrate presence, engage others and drive for results. In return, we will seek to expand their knowledge through training, development and practical experience, which will enable them to become highly skilled engineers in the manufacturing industry.


Key Accountabilities will include:

Creating fixture design drawings and Bills of Materials using 3D CAD (NX)Designing fixtures to support Health & Safety improvements, Quality improvements, Production issues, Engineering Change Notices and New Product Introduction projectsMaintaining accurate records of designOrganize workload for our toolroom departmentPlanning and co-ordinating tooling projects including design and manufacture of fixturesProvision of engineering support to production departmentsLiaising cross-functionally within all departments in Hyster-Yale Group.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:

Essential criteria:

HND/Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 1 year’s relevant Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment (placement year acceptable)Alternatively, we will consider candidates who hold an HNC in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environmentExperience in tool design techniquesWorking knowledge of 3D CAD system, preferably NXWorking knowledge of all relevant Microsoft Office packages (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

Desirable criteria:

Experience in tool making techniquesWorking knowledge of imperial measurements
