The post holder will be a leader in their environment having extensive knowledge of CNC machining processes and programming. They will be integral for shop floor problem-solving and improvements while also conducting program prove-outs in line with the FAI process. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.
- Permanent night shift role
- Working hours: 19:30 - 07:30
- 12-hour shifts
- Shift pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off
- Shift Premiums and Holidays discussed at interview

**Responsibilities**
- To operate several CNC Machines that include DMG Mori and Matchmaker doing prove outs of FAI parts to produce high quality components.
- Use problem solving skills to maximize machine capability’s and eliminate wastes during machining.
- The point of contact on the shop floor for all machining issues which include quality, programming and machine maintenance issues.
- Liaise with the programming department to discuss improvements to add value to the machining process.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality and support the schedule.
- Liaise with the maintenance department with any machine issues that affect quality and production.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand using engineering drawings.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Maintaining high level of timekeeping is of essence.
- Comply with site safety procedures and requirements.
- Liaise with Machine Shop Leads to ensure high standards of work and on time delivery in accordance with the business needs.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Experience in a highly-regulated Assembly/Manufacturing environment.
- Proficient working knowledge of MRP system
- Time served CNC Machinist
- Proven experience of driving continuous improvement.
- IT skills especially an excellent understanding of MS Office Suite
- Full understanding of shop floor software which includes HYPERMILL shop viewer and CAD
- Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail with ability to perform tasks to closure & ensure all tasks undertaken fulfil customer requirement via standard operations within set deadlines.
- A minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in Manufacturing/Engineering is required for this role
