About the Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Fabricator to join our team. This is a newly created position within our company, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and career advancement. The successful candidate will have the chance to work directly under the Fabrication Manager and gain hands-on experience in a variety of exciting projects, from our extensive range of stage trussing to unique, stand-alone projects for the movie, entertainment, and music industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fabrication efforts with a strong emphasis on aluminum fabrication and welding.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications accurately.
  • Execute high-quality aluminum TIG welding on various materials, including flat bar, square box sections, and tubular sections, ranging from 2mm to 50mm in thickness.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all projects meet the highest quality standards and deadlines.
  • Prepare to transition into the Fabrication Manager role, overseeing a team of 10-15 people by April 2025.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Proven leadership experience within a fabrication or welding environment.
  • Strong background in aluminum fabrication and welding.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, including welding specifications.
  • Extensive experience in aluminum TIG welding.
  • Experience with welding flat bar, square box sections, and tubular sections.
  • Knowledge of working with materials from 2mm to 50mm thick.
  • Experience in MIG welding aluminum is advantageous but not required.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Flexible with working hours to accommodate projects with tight deadlines, including overtime when necessary.

This role is designed with a clear path to progression. The successful candidate will be viewed as a potential successor to the current Fabrication Manager, who is set to retire in April 2025.
