About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our consult business, you will be responsible for providing professional building surveying services to inspect building fabric systems for asset management reporting and construction project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage building surveys on various building types for assessment, defect identification, diagnosis, and project monitoring.
  • Develop and prepare reports to meet client scopes of services.
  • Coordinate reports, specifications, and contractual documents to assist with the management of a range of construction projects.
  • Manage compliance with good practice health & safety and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for developing and preparing competitive tenders and fee proposals.
  • Collaborate and work closely with building surveying leadership team (SLT).
  • Actively support team to develop professional competences required by recognised professional bodies.
  • Collaborate and contribute to internal and external multi-disciplinary teams for relevant portfolios.
  • Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise gained through substantial work experience to solve a range of complex construction and project-related problems.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate university degree - BSc (HONS) (or equivalent).
  • Understanding and expertise in the public sector.
  • Procurement market including public frameworks.
  • Effective communication, personal accountability, critical thinking.
  • Works proactively within bid teams.
