Main duties of the job

Provide Administrative support to clinical and non-clinical services.

To work as part of a team.

To answer telephone and/or email enquiries, processing and maintaining records (paper and electronic), using SystmOne updating databases and spread sheets, scanning, typing, photocopying, and arranging meetings/events

To receive telephone calls from patients who wish to book or change their appointments or have general enquiries.

To act as a first point of contact for all forms of communication.

Qualifications and Professional Training

Essential

NVQ Level 2, GCSE Level or equivalent experience

Desirable

Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience & Knowledge

Previous experience of dealing with the public and taking telephone enquiries Experience of accurate data inputting

Skills and Attributes

Essential

Good oral and written communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds Ability to communicate sensitively with all staff groups, patients and their families Ability to produce work of a good standard with attention to detail
