Role: Training Coordinator

Location: Bedford College – Caudwell Campus

Salary/Benefits: Salary between £29,000 to £38,540 DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, peoples pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37 hrs per Week (1.0 FTE)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator to join our Apprentinceships Department at The Bedford College group. As a Training Coordinator you play an important role in the success of our students through: Supporting apprentices in the work place, enabling them to develop the relevant skills, knowledge and core competencies that will lead to the successful completion of their apprenticeship Ensuring that apprentice progress is tracked robustly through each stage of their programme, mapping across all components of their framework or standard, using the OneFile eportfolio system. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with employers and classroom based tutors to ensure regular communication about apprentice performance and progress.

About you:

A qualification at level 3 or above in the relevant vocational subject specialism English and Mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent. TAQA L3 or equivalent qualification or be willing to work towards TAQA L4 or equivalent qualification or be willing to work towards Level 3 Award in Education and Training or be willing to work towards 18th Edition Experience of working in the relevant vocational industry Experience of training and assessing NVQ qualifications in the relevant vocational sector Experience of classroom management Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role Ability to confidently use IT software and online eportfolio systems Ability to deliver training effectively based on current sector practices, knowledge and qualifications. Ability to confidently support learners via the telephone, face-to-face, email or other electronic methods Ability to prioritise own workload and to work to deadlines Ability to consistently to provide a high quality experience and supportive environment for all learners

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
