About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Training Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and contribute to the success of The Bedford College Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Support: Provide high-quality induction, training, assessment, and ongoing support to learners, identifying any additional learning needs and making necessary referrals.
  • Pathway Guidance: Collaborate with employers and apprentices to guide them toward suitable pathway options based on their job roles and business requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead the induction process during the first 6 weeks to ensure a high-quality initial experience, regularly assessing and reviewing apprentices' progress, and providing qualitative feedback.
  • Compliance and Records: Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements, track progress toward completion of all components, and manage 20% off-the-job training time.
  • Professional Development: Engage in team collaboration, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
  • Experience of teaching, assessing, or tutoring.
  • Ability to provide a high-quality learning experience for all students.
  • High performance in previous roles or jobs.
  • Effective working with people from diverse backgrounds and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the role.
  • Constructive working to achieve team objectives and deadlines.
  • Raising student retention and achievement rates.
  • Knowledge of curriculum models.
Qualifications
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in a relevant motor vehicle discipline.
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year.
