My client is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support children with behavioural needs in a Year 5 class. Help create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive. This position starts in September on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Work mornings only, Monday to Friday, and contribute to a transformative educational experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting a teacher with managing the classroom and student behavior during morning sessions
  • Ensuring children's safety and well-being by evaluating potential risks
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and taking initiative
  • Applying knowledge of the KS2 curriculum in your daily activities
  • Communicating clearly with both children and adults, orally and in writing

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Possess empathy, patience, and a caring nature, with insight into children's unique needs
  • Have a solid understanding of sensory processing issues and communication challenges
  • Excel at building meaningful relationships with children
  • Adaptable and able to work both independently and within a team
