About the Job

The internal payroll expert, responsible for the effective management of all payroll services provided to employees, including the management of externally provided payroll contracts (for both UK and Ireland)

·Ensures all LSUK employees are paid in a correct and timely manner

·Manages the outsourcing payroll providers to ensure they are adhering to the Service Level Agreement

·Describe the key outputs (normally consistent year to year) necessary to achieve job purpose:

·Key outcomes (normally consistent year to year) necessary to achieve Job Purpose.

·Process all starter, changes and leavers for LSUK, whilst ensuring compliance with applicable laws, payroll tax obligations ensure relevant legislation is adhered to

·Process all additional hours/overtime/exceptional payments in accordance with LS&CO guidelines, liaising with managers as appropriate.

·Run regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance to maintain a best practice approach

·Constantly reviewing and streamlining all payroll processes/ tasks to ensure the most efficient ways of working

oAdopting a “best in class” mindset approach in maintaining up to date insights on all payroll legislative developments and policies

·Being proactive to provide general payroll advice on all payroll matters, e.g. tax, new legislation to all HR team and LSUK employees

oMain contact and escalation for LSUK employees and Payroll provider on all payroll matters, resolving issues and liaising with managers, HR and employees as appropriate

·Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all external vendors and payroll partners across UK & Ireland

·Completion of payroll information for Tax office and other professional bodies

·Complete reports, administration and opt in/out requests for all pension providers as per requirements for auto enrolment

oBalance tax and NI deductions monthly and sign off quarterly for payroll provider

oProcess monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus payments

·Process all P60 and P11Ds

oProvide reports, additional information as required by the HR Manager or members of the leadership team & District managers

oManage all aspects of maternity process, working closely with HR team

oManage all employees’ deductions, providing advice to payroll provider, HR team and employees

·Driving the development of manager and employee self service function, providing support as necessary and training

·As a part of the HR team, provide general HR support when required, under the direction of the HR Manager
