This role may be suitable to the right person from a sales background who may be a first time director of sales or coming from a non hotel background but knows the Brighton market, so please do apply. 
About the role...
The role is integral to drive new business from the corporate, leisure and M&E markets into the hotel whilst managing our existing accounts and clients in order to continue moving the business forward. 
Your key responsibilities will range across: 
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the local hotel market to grow local corporate accounts in both rooms and M&E business including accountability for local RFP's and new accounts
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Produce accurate and timely, weekly, monthly and annual reporting that meets the needs of Harbour Group Sales team and Hotel GM
  • Take part in regular sales meetings with the local office and national teams
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process for the Corporate and M&E segments
  • Complete and execute a hotel sales plan, review and update in line with strategy and hotel business needs
  • Maintain an up to date Pipeline of target accounts, directly, through the Sales Managers and via the hotel
