HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.

Please note: We will consider applications from candidates who are due to Graduate in Summer 2024.


The successful candidate will follow a 2-shift work pattern, with the following Key Accountabilities:

Planning and implementation of Manufacturing related projects within given timescalesContinuous improvement of Manufacturing (Welding/Fabrication) processesRoot cause analysis and implementing of Safety and Quality improvementsProvision of Engineering support to Production departmentsImplementation of Engineering changes from Design into ProductionHighlighting and implementation of health and safety, quality and productivity improvementsInventory IntegrityLiaising cross-functionally within all departments in HYG.Following a 2-shift work pattern - Early/Late Shift, Monday to Friday (Early Friday finish)

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:

Educated to HND/Degree level (or working towards, to be completed Summer 2024), with a minimum of 1 year's Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (experience gained through industrial placement will be considered)Alternatively, we will consider candidates who hold an HNC with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environmentPractical knowledge of manufacturing processes e.g Welding and/or FabricationExcellent communication and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of all relevant Microsoft Office packages (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) plus 3D modelling or Autocad experience

The following criteria is desirable:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsProficient in the use of 2D CADExperience in any of the following: Programming and setting of robotic weld systems, Manual welding processes, Setting up new weld processes including area layouts.
