Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Manchester – up to £520 per week

A well-regarded SEN school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team. The school caters to students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with SEN professionals to provide tailored, individualised support to help students reach their full potential.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Competitive salary with the potential for career progression
  • Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Work closely with students with autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges
  • Assist in both classroom settings and with 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Gain valuable experience for future careers in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Clinical Psychology
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced SEN teachers and support staff
  • Based in a Manchester SEN school with excellent facilities and resources
  • No prior experience required, but a resilient and empathetic attitude is essential

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will involve providing personalised support to students with a range of SEN needs. You will assist in creating a safe and positive learning environment, helping to develop and implement learning strategies tailored to individual student needs. You will also work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them build confidence, manage their behaviour, and improve their academic performance. Being a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys.

This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about inclusive education and want to gain valuable hands-on experience working with SEN learners.
