Teaching Assistant for SEN Pupils - Psychology Graduate

We are currently recruiting for Psychology Graduates to join one of our client schools in Stockport as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience working alongside children with autism and other learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to target the individual learning needs of the most vulnerable pupils.
  • Assist pupils who have autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other moderate learning difficulties.
  • Manage behavioural traits that are typical amongst pupils who require additional SEN support.
  • Assist pupils who have an Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP), discussing their performance in school.

Requirements:

  • Recent Psychology Graduate with a passion for working with children with autism and other learning difficulties.
  • Ability to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment-based references.
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures.
