DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Reporting to the Manager of IDEAA, the Senior Clinical IDEAA Lead provides advanced knowledge, leadership and coordination for clinical areas with a focus on equity. The Senior Clinical IDEAA Lead strengthens the understanding and application of equity principles, evidence, tools, best practices and supports to build a culture of equity within Lakeridge Health.

Demonstrating leadership behaviors and capabilities, ability to coach leaders and clinicians consistent with equity considerations. Ability to consult with quality management, strategy and clinic areas to embed equity into clinical outcomes.

The Senior Clinical Lead will be accountable to support the IDEAA Plan and priorities with the implementation and knowledge to help guide, inform and influence clinical programs on equity and initiatives. In addition, they Consultant will be accountable to:

* Provide expert advice, evidence and best practice on advancing the understanding of equity and its impact on disparities and lived experiences.
* Provide guidance, direction and advice to staff and teams to assist them in the application of equity tools and methods.
* Contribute to performance development and assessment of staff in relation to equity needs and knowledge
* Participate in clinical operational planning as well as priority setting exercises with the leadership team to ensure a robust equity lens is applied at all stages of program planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Work with teams to identify, develop and help plan to strengthen the capacity team members to help them achieve better equity outcomes for the population they serve
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate evidence, develop plans for building capacity around equity and facilitate uptake and understanding of equity practices and policies
* Coordinate local projects, initiatives and teams working on equity and action to address disparities.
* Work on building out solid community relationships with community agencies and populations
* As appropriate, identify opportunities to incorporate equity principles and actions

QUALIFICATIONS:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

* A Master's Education preferred or equivalent
* Bachelor's in nursing or Allied Health and experience within a clinical setting for at least 5 to 7 years
* Eligible for registration with a professional body as appropriate
* Experience in planning, development and evaluation of programs, services and initiatives using appropriate approaches to reduce inequities
* Demonstrated knowledge of oppression as a social determinant of health and awareness and study of one's own power and privilege
* Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships, networks, coalitions, and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners to support equity work
* Competencies in other languages an asset
* Capacity to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, databases, and case management software.
* Other Requirements include: Willingness to travel across Lakeridge Health sites as needed; Commitment to core values including Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork, and Joy; Understanding of and dedication to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs, including participation in regular in-services.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders.
