Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic CBT Therapist/ Psychological Therapist/Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Essex Perinatal Mental Health Service.
You will need have had accredited training as well as current registration with an appropriate body such as HCPC, BACP, BABCP. We encourage core professions such as Nursing/OT with the requisite therapy accreditation to apply. You will be working alongside other qualified clinicians including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists and Psychotherapists to deliver formulation based individual and group interventions.
This post is wte Band 7 in the North West Hub covering Stansted, Harlow & Loughton.
There is a high standard of in house specialist supervision available to support new and existing skills in CBT with BACAP registered supervisors as well as supervisions to support other models such as EMDR/CFT/DBT and parent infant interventions such as VIG and COS. The service offers a comprehensive perinatal training package available for successful candidates.
PMHS consists of five perinatal hubs across Essex with a MDT staff mix comprising of Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, OT, Social Work and Nursery Nursing. PMHS has established pathways with maternity, health visiting, secondary care mental health services and primary care services which strengthens provision to be timely and effective for mothers in the perinatal period.
Main duties of the job
Delivering high quality and effective interventions through both group and individual approaches.
Conducting high quality initial assessments of mothers and birthing people requiring perinatal support.
Conducting specialised perinatal psychological assessment of a mother's or birthing people's mental health and psychological needs including the relationship with their infant.
To provide psychological advice to other professionals both within and external to the service
To support the senior psychology team with development of the perinatal psychology offer.
