The position of Class 1 Day Driver involves:

Delivering to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers. Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations. Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Day Driver:

Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service. Working to deadlines. Confident, polite and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Why Gregory Distribution?

Basic salary for Class 1 Day Driver is £37,pa, based on working 48 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, starting between 03:00hrs – 07:00hrs. Overtime available.
