Class 1 Day Driver Job Description

The Gregory Group is seeking a skilled Class 1 Day Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers, collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centres, and maintaining regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers
  • Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centres
  • Maintain regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress
  • Attend regular training sessions

Essential Skills:

  • UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
