The Applied Mathematics and Data Science Group in the School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies is seeking to appoint a part-time Teaching Associate, for a fixed term of 3 years. Hours of work shall be set annually prior to the commencement of the relevant academic year and will vary according to the requirements of the School.

We are seeking enthusiastic applicants keen to develop their teaching skills. The successful candidate will be joining the Applied Mathematics and Data Science Group in delivering our quality applied mathematics degree programmes at undergraduate level. You will have the opportunity to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects, be involved with our mathematics student society activities, and to engage externally through contributing to industrial networks, masterclasses and summer schools. Information on the teaching activities can be found at . You will also be encouraged to pursue a personal research programme consistent with the Schools research priorities and to publish the outcomes of research in outlets of international standing.

As the successful candidate you will hold a Recognised teaching qualification in a relevant discipline/ Membership of Advance HE (formally known as Higher Education Academy or HEA) at Fellow level. A demonstrated track record of independent working, time management and successful delivery of objectives is also required, together with excellent written and oral communication skills.
