Step into the role of  Assistant Designer - Special Purchase and Kidswear

What to expect from a day to day perspective:

Responsible for supporting the creation and development of seasonal design ranges across Special Purchase and Kidswear, balancing creative and commercial needs to deliver against the Concept brief. Working across multi-product, you can expect varied and exciting projects to work on within a Department that has full support and enthusiasm from Management in terms of the bigger picture - there’s big plans ahead Implement the seasonal Design Direction set out by the CBO, Design Director, and the Concept Team to drive the strategic objectives daily through the Design Team.  Assist in the creation of a broad variety of styles that creatively respond to a brief, embracing a commercial eye and a think outside of the box approach.  Assist in creating CADS, Colour up and developing exciting new product ranges Adhoc responsibilities on behalf of the team, from racking up products for meetings to checking artwork submissions. Each day must follow a customer led approach supported by store visits, competitive shops and inspirational shopping.  A varied and fast paced role with exciting opportunities for growth Our Management team are really excited about this area of the business of which they have exciting plans for

The ideal candidate:

Then look no further, the role of Assistant Designer at Joules was made for you

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:

 You must be Illustrator proficient with a Fashion Design Degree or equivalent experience. You should have an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic nature with the ability to adapt and work collaboratively with our close knit team. A genuine excitement about the brand is a must (although we don’t think this is too difficult). You must be confident in your ability to easily switch between different products as the workload is varied and at times fast paced.  Able to work cross-functionally and build strong rapport and relationships across the wider teams. Understanding of commercial acumen, our customer and market positioning. Excellent trend prediction and can translate into contemporary relevance for the Joules brand. A genuine sense of resourcefulness and the ability and drive to make the role your own. 

Location:

This is a full time role based at our Market Harborough Head Office in Leicestershire and you will need to be able to be present in the office 5 days per week.
