This is a pivotal post for nurse education in clinical practice, so clinical credibility is essential. You must have exceptional communication skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and act as a positive role model for all grades of staff across the Acute Stroke Unit and the Stroke Pathway Assessment & Rehabilitation Centre.

The successful candidate will facilitate the development of high standards of clinical skills to all learners within the environment. They will provide clinical induction, education, professional development and advice in line with evidence-based practice, national recommendations and clinical governance frameworks.

Main duties of the job

The post holders responsibilities consist of a range of core teaching duties which include but not limited to:

Co-ordination, delivery and development of teaching sessions at our specialist Study Days Skills based practical sessions Clinical skills teaching for both undergraduate and post graduate staff members To assess feedback and respond to incidents by formulating real-time learning opportunities, SWARM huddles and simulated activities Attend senior meetings with Ward Managers, Matrons and Practice Development Lead and take forward elements of Clinical learning environment strategy supporting processes and transformation in line with the education plan across the directorate.
