About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ophthalmic Nurse to join our clinical team at Optegra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in all aspects of the Ophthalmic service, including surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
  • RGN with NMC registration or ODP with HCP registration.
  • Experience with day surgery / operating theatre / outpatient setting.
  • A minimum of one year post qualification experience.
  • A qualification in Ophthalmology or Peri operative care and previous experience in Ophthalmology or Outpatients would be desirable but is not essential.
