About Us: At Teaching Personnel, we work closely with a range of SEN/SEMH schools within Surrey to provide exceptional support for students with diverse needs. Our mission is to empower every student to achieve their full potential by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN/SEMH needs. You will work alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement tailored behaviour support plans, helping students develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN/SEMH needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and support staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt support plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Passion for working with children and young people with SEN/SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
