Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Linehaul Planner. In this role, you will drive innovation in Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation network. As part of the Program Development team, you will be responsible for defining, scoping and implementing completely new ideas in order to meet our customers’ and stakeholders' needs while satisfying performance and budget goals. You will work on defining business processes to transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior stakeholders on the direction for improving Middle Mile operations. The programs will focus on operational improvements to determine the accuracy of our truck plan projections, which support the supply strategy and Amazon asset utilization.

In this role, the Sr. Linehaul Planner drives process improvement, prioritizes projects/initiatives and feature sets, as well as align and sets stakeholders expectations for Amazon. This requires interaction with Amazon’s EU operations.
Key job responsibilities

You will have the full ownership of a dedicated process related to truck plan and resource generation, including the initiatives to improve the results from the scoping/creation until the implementation.

You will work closely with a team of Program and Managers to drive the collection and implementation of requirements, ensure alignment with corporate objectives and contractual obligations.

As part of the initiatives, you will need to define, prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for programs to be delivered on time.

You will write and review business cases, perform supporting analysis, write specifications from design to release.

You will be required to have clear, precise, and regular communication with all stakeholders. This includes ongoing project/program status reports as well as capturing requirements.

You will retrieve and analyze data using Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.

You will monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date, ensuring the overall integrity within the program.

Successful candidates will be good communicators, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams.

A day in the life
As a Sr Linehaul Planner, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience in supply chain
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
