Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity

The Finance & Treasury Risk Manager (“F&TRM”) is a second line role reporting directly to the Head of Treasury Risk. This is a key role assisting with appropriate second line oversight across all Finance & Treasury Risks, with a particular focus on operational risk, control, compliance and conduct oversight. The role helps provide second-line support to the Head of Treasury Risk.

To act as an ambassador of the Bank’s vision to; Back more people to go for it in life and in business.

What will your day look like?

You will report into the Head of Treasury Risk, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations.

The role of F&TRM is really important to us. You will be responsible for:

Treasury & Market Risk

  • Providing an effective second line oversight across all Finance & Treasury related activity/risks.
  • Overseeing Finance & Treasury related regulatory reporting – ensuring accurate identification, use and interpretation of reports.
  • Updating or inputting into Finance & Treasury policies where required and aligning to FR Group processes where appropriate.
  • Overseeing work on liquidity stress testing scenarios and assumptions. 
  • Risk representative in Finance & Treasury operational change programmes. 
  • Co-ordinating with the Head of Treasury Risk oversight of operational & conduct issues such as settlement and reporting of treasury transactions, compliance with regulation, reconciliations and bank account management.

  • Appreciation for controls, processes, policies and change management.
  • Experience using typical Microsoft products, and other data products desirable
  • Understanding of accounting principles and banking products
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of financial markets, risk management techniques, and financial instruments / derivatives.
