Summary of position
Whilst Straumann is the market leader in dental implants, we are looking for talents to build a new market segment in Orthodontics across Western Europe. In this endeavour, Clinical Specialist will be a critical role to oversee clinical activities for ClearCorrect providers. As a Clinical Specialist, you are responsible for growing clinical confidence and case submissions across the ClearCorrect™ product portfolio. In this position, you will support practicing dentists and orthodontists in the resolution of case-specific clinical and technical issues about our proprietary 3D treatment planning software ClearPilot. You will report to the local Regional Sales Manager with a dotted line to our Clinical Advisor for Western Europe.

During the initial 12 months of your role, your primary responsibility will not involve direct interaction with clinicians. Instead, your key focus will be to provide support to our Treatment Planning Team. You will utilize your expertise to check and validate treatment plans, ensuring they meet the required standards and guidelines. Additionally, you will assist the team in addressing clinical queries related to the treatment plans and clarify any written instructions provided by our customers, who are primarily dentists and orthodontists.
Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the treatment plans, as well as enhancing communication between our team and the customers. By leveraging your clinical knowledge and expertise, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care and facilitating smooth collaboration within the Treatment Planning Team. Although your role will not involve direct customer interactions, your support will indirectly contribute to delivering excellent service to our customers and their patients.


After the first 12 months, your role will continue to be that of
- Providing clinical support to the private practicing dentist and orthodontist in case evaluation, clinical treatment planning including patient selection. - Communicating and demonstrating the clinical benefits of all our products
- In 3D digital treatment planning, you support providers to make clinical decisions that contribute to the success of orthodontic treatment with ClearCorrect™.
- You will be in contact with dentists and orthodontists to discuss treatment plans.
- You are involved in the individual clinical education of dentists and orthodontists.
- You will provide parts of the clinical training for our treatment planning teams.
- Gather feedback from providers and analyse provider data to identify best practices.
- Review patient’s treatment plan and compare with established protocols and preferences, elaborate on clinically functional improvement in digital planning to improve clinical predictability to achieve the best possible results.
- Train country-base colleagues to increase their orthodontic knowledge, and their expertise of ClearCorrect system and the benefits to be communicated to customers.
- Performs provider support via inbound & outbound contacts (phone or email) to provide top-notch service to providers.
- Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

- Clinical education offerings - live and online:
o Coordinating with clinical speaker
o Presenting clinical content o On booth clinical support activities

Be a team player.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team to increase case utilization and to acquire new providers.
- Train the ortho sales and service team in the region to increase their orthodontic knowledge and their expertise of ClearCorrect system and the benefits to be communicated to customers. To enable them to support providers with patient selection, treatment planning, orthodontic management and troubleshooting clinical roadblocks. - Co-travel when required to key customers and KOLs with field sales and marketing team.
- Constantly liaise with WE clinical advisor and the global BU, the country teams to keep abreast of product updates, technology advancement and market change.
- Support User Acceptant Tests (UAT) and provide input and feedback, taking the lead to have local ClearCorrect ambassadors participating to UAT, follow-up and collect feedback.
- Be a part of high-performance team that delivers monthly, quarterly, and annual business results and company goals.

Your profile 

• You have dental background preferably with orthodontics experience.
• You are ready for a change into an industry career with a leading dental company.
• You have a very good command of English. Additional lenguages is a plus. • You have a high willingness to learn to become familiar with our 3D treatment planning software ClearPilot. 


Your qualifications 

• University degree in Dentistry and at least 2 years of related clinical experience 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
• In addition, you have excellent teamwork skills and high social competence. • Enthusiastic about providing excellent support & service, always customer centric. 
• “Player-learner” mindset, entrepreneurial and result driven. 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay focused on priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
