You will be responsible for the operational delivery of the linacs you are responsible for, ensuring a smooth pathway for patients from referral to end of treatment. You will work very closely with other clinical specialists, operational managers and site specific advanced practitioners in delivering care to our patients. You will be required to use your expertise and skills in supporting radiographers and will have a say on the operational delivery matters. As a clinical expert, you will provide advice and guidance on all clinical matters, able to trouble shoot on the linacs and support other multi-disciplinary team.

You are also expected to maintain a high standard of care, conduct and be a role model for other staff within the department. You will also have HR responsibilities, including sickness management, for the staff that you line manage. You will be approachable and passionate about the service we deliver for our patients. Through your excellent and well developed technical and people management skills you will have the confidence to embrace the many challenges which we face on a daily basis and to support and empower more junior staff to own and resolve their local issues professionally and safely.

You will know when to escalate issues, either within the Radiotherapy team, or within the wider multi-disciplinary teams
