To ensure as clinical specialist that designated staff implement policy and service development changes. To represent the Trust externally (locally, regionally and nationally) regarding MSK services provided to patients with complex MSK pain.

To be able to manage stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathic manner, in particular patients diagnosed with chronic upper quadrant pain and supporting more junior staff in similar circumstances To lead an Upper Quadrant training programme for junior and new members of staff. To maintain and provide accurate and timely statistical information as required. Use audit to identify the developing needs of the service. To participate in the Trust appraisal scheme as an appraiser and an appraisee.
