Job summary
Great internal communication in the NHS has the power to support frontline colleagues to drive productivity, unlock their full potential and support their efforts to transform the way they deliver outstanding care.

This role is ideal opportunity for talent communicators to take an exciting next step in their careers. Previous knowledge of the NHS and its workings would be beneficial but are not essential.

Post-graduate level qualification in relevant subject/field Equivalent experience working in a communications, PR or marketing role

Good knowledge of how to design and execute effective communication strategies A working knowledge of how the media operates across print, broadcast and electronic media Experience of commissioning design work Experience of designing, implementing and measuring effectiveness of campaigns for a range of audiences Understanding the motivations and agendas of the media sectors, understanding their market and target audiences An understanding of how to lead and executive campaign planning Good understanding of digital communications (strategy and implementing strategy) Good level of political and social awareness Good understanding of public relations A knowledge of current communications thinking

Understanding of effective use of design and graphics in relation to communications channels (EG - posters and display screens, electronic media, and social media) Experience of working in the health or public sector
