The Trust's Communications team is looking to recruit its first Digital Communications Specialist to join 'Team SFH' on its exciting digital journey, where the successful candidate will work alongside clinical colleagues to ensure that the information provided across our digital platforms matches the outstanding care provided by our hardworking colleagues.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a great knowledge and passion for digital media and digital marketing.
The right candidate will have a strong grasp of current thinking around the most effective use of digital channels, know how to deliver great digital content in-line with web accessibility requirements, and make good use of social media.
As well as being responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust's digital platforms, the successful candidate will be responsible for training Trust colleagues to make great digital content happen. They will also work alongside the Trust's technical web developers to continuously develop and maintain the Trust's digital communication platforms.

Essential
Demonstrable knowledge of how to design and execute effective digital communication strategies. Ability to write reports, such as contributing to communications updates to internal boards, committees, cabinets and working groups. Ability to undertake social media analysis to identify emerging trends and measure the effectiveness of communications activities, campaigns, channels and projects. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling challenging issues on a regular basis. Highly-organised with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills to produce materials relevant for target audiences. Ability to analyse, interpret and convert complex material into accessible, easy-to-understand formats and in a language that is relevant to the intended target audience. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships internally and externally Effective planning skills Flexible, resilient and assertive approach to work Advanced keyboard skills
Desirable
Experience of working in the health or public sector. Filming and video editing expertise Proficient photographer for the purposes of creating engaging visual photographic content for a ranger of digital platforms. Good understanding of public relations and practical knowledge of public relations while using digital and social media platforms. Experience of using the Google Analytics website analytics platform.

Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject or equivalent experience working in a relevant subject/field.

Significant experience working in a relevant subject/field. Significant experience of managing digital communications channels for large audiences in a complex organisation, including experience of developing and editing content for websites and other digital channels. Experience of how to lead and execute effective digital communications campaigns and projects. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the application of Public Sector Accessibility Regulations and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) that ensure the accessibility of digital content. Significant experience of writing consistently high-quality messaging for online audiences. Significant experience of updating website and intranet content using Content Management Systems. Understanding of effective use of design and graphic design in relation to communications channels. Demonstrable experience of using publishing and creative software, such as the Adobe Creative - including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro. Demonstrable experience of using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience of developing innovative digital channels to improve accessibility of information for audiences with a range of accessibility requirements. Experience of running digital and virtual events, including public meetings, webinars and live social media events. Excellent working knowledge of the application of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in a communications context.
Desirable
Experience of customising Content Management Systems to enhance their suitability to ultimately support the delivery of key business objectives. Experience of developing and delivering user training - ideally in the context of digital publishing. Working knowledge of the HTML and CSS coding languages Experience of project management for website upgrades or new platform development, including the introduction of a new design, structure, content and publishing workflows Understanding and knowledge of budget management
