Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for the operational clinical management of MRI staff, leading the delivery of the MRI service and deputising for the Imaging Operational Manager.

The post-holder will have extensive post-registration clinical experience. It would be highly desirable for the post-holder to have undertaken MRI postgraduate study at Masters Level.

To work as part of a professional MRI team providing a high quality diagnostic service.

To provide an efficient MRI service while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

The post-holder will interact with the Imaging Department Modality leads to ensure delivery of appropriate and reactive diagnostic imaging services.

The post-holder will liaise with a variety of staff throughout the Trust.

The post-holder will also work with non-hospital staff involved in the provision of equipment, materials and services for diagnostic imaging.

The post-holder will have extensive post-registration clinical experience and undertaken post-graduate study.

The post holder will assist with organisation of all staff rotation in liaison with the other modality leads. It is envisaged that this post-holder will require administrative time and clinical time in the department.

To provide staff training and supervision of junior staff and students.
