Summer schools are all about fun Yet, fun still requires organising.


Do you have proven experience of planning activities, events, and excursions for young people? If so, our Activities Manager position could provide you with the diverse challenge you’ve been looking for this summer.


Could it be good for you?


  • You will have previous experience of running activity/leisure programmes or events. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working in a summer camp or school.

  • You'll be a great communicator and a supportive leader, able to effectively manage your team, ensuring the happiness, safety and well-being of staff and students alike.

  • You must have a working knowledge of safeguarding young people

  • Due to the hours of work, you'll need to stay with us for the length of the contract


Location: Oakham, Leicestershire *full-board accommodation is included*


Dates: 6th July - 9th August 2024 (you will need to be available for the whole contract)


Contract: This is full time work, 60 hours per week and you must be available for our training weekend on 14/06/2024


Pay: £686.40 per week + increments + holiday entitlement

Here at Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6000 young students (aged 8-17) from all over the world, during the summer holidays. We to help them improve their English in the classroom but also provide a vibrant activities and excursion programme. We employee a team of Activity Leaders to help bring the fun, and that’s where you come in

As an enthusiastic and energetic manager, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing the delivery of our fun activities, events, and excursions programmes. Activities range from sporting, drama, arts to quizzes, discos, fashion shows; trips to theme parks, city tours. The list goes on You are provided with materials, support and guidance from our experienced senior management team, helping you to ensure that the programme runs safely and smoothly.

You'll build great working relationships with your team to ensure our students have a safe, entertaining and memorable stay. You’ll play an active role in supporting and training your team of Activity Leaders, Senior Activity Leaders, and Teachers, giving briefings and designating tasks. You're also involved in the pastoral care of students, including night-duties on a rota-basis.
