Student Activities Coordinator

£25000.00 - £27000.00 depending on experience (40 hours per week) you will be required to work flexibly, including weekends and overnight on-call duties.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Student Activities Coordinator with excellent communication skills. You are extremely proactive and always take the initiative. You will lead on all non-academic aspects of our programmes relating to recreational activites, excursions, transfers and pastoral care at our purpose built study centre located in Canterbury.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of our activity programmes working with our Student Services Manager and College Coordinator. You will be enthusiastic about working with young people from different cultural backgrounds and want to be actively involved in the success of their activity programme.

You will have experience of supervising, planning, staffing and rotas. Knowledge of preparing risk assessments for student activities and have a good understanding of safeguarding.

You will ensure that all staff are well informed, organised, engaging well with students and that the overall programme is well delivered with age appropriate activities. This role is central to ensuring that we provide enjoyable, successful and safe activities in a professional and friendly way.

At least 2 years experience in a similar role is essential or able to demonstrate transferrable skills.
- 2 years experience supervising staff
- 2 years experience planning staffing and rotas

Fully flexible approach to working hours and days

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal appropriately with students, group leaders and colleagues.
