JobSummary:

Cardiff Counciland the Vale of Glamorgan Council are working together to providean innovative new Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC) / Edge of CareService for 1117yearolds.

Taking astrengthbased approach our aim is to work coproductively withfamilies to improve relationships and enable young people to remainliving within their familyhome.

The ARC hasbeen delivering services to young people who require intensiveinterventions and access to therapeutic interventions acrossCardiff for the last threeyears.

As a result ofthis success alongside an increase in need and regional funding theService is expanding to become a Regional Edge of Care Servicewhich will operate across two locations across Cardiff and Vale ofGlamorgan.

KeyDuties/Accountabilities:

You will beworking with young people across Cardiff at their homes and at ourcentres at a time of need delivering positiveoutcomes.

You willprovide structured evidencebased interventions enabling families todevelop problem solving skills resilience and achieve positivechange.

You and theteam will provide a rapid response to children and families incrisis enabling them to address and overcome the difficulties thathave led to the family being at risk of breakdown and preventfurtherescalation.

EssentialExperienceRequired:

As a SupportWorker you will have some experience of working with adolescentswho present with challenging behaviour you will have experience inworking with carers and as part of a widerteam.

Additionalinformation tonote:

Driving licenseand full use of a car isessential.

You will beworking flexibly that includes some evenings and weekends.

Enhanced Childand Adult DBS needed.
