Cardiff Youth Service offers a range of provisions across the city for young people aged 11-25.

Cardiff Youth Service consists of a talented and enthusiastic team of professional youth workers & youth support workers who operate across the city. This set up consists of youth centres, specialist provisions, youth mentoring and street based youth work teams that all provide a wide variety of creative opportunities and experiences that encourage the participation and development of young people in communities.

**About the job**
Provision base: St Mellons Youth Club
Days/Times: Friday evenings 6-9pm (44 weeks per year)

The post holder will become part of a team of youth workers based at St Mellons Youth Club that plan, deliver and evaluate a curriculum of activities for young people aged 14-19.

Due to the nature of youth work, and supporting a young person led programme, there will be a requirement to support events/residential/visits outside of the hours set. These will be negotiated as needed.

**What We Are Looking For From You**
The post holder will be responsible for supporting young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, to enable them to develop their voice, influence and place in society and to reach their full potential.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic youth workers or youth support workers who will encourage creativity and innovation to inspire and motivate young people on a daily basis.

We are looking for youth workers who have positive attitudes and resilience to be able to impact positively on the lives of young people.

**Additional information**
This post is part time and will work 3 hours per week (44 weeks per year). The salary shown however relates to 37 hours per week and will therefore be pro-rata’d accordingly.
