Job Title: Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA)

Location: Hasland, Derbyshire
Salary Scale: £86 - £100 per day
Start Date: Immediately
 
GSL Education is seeking inspiring and dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA) to join our client schools in Hasland, Derbyshire.

The main duties as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA) will include:

  • Supporting the pupils in their education across secondary levels of education.
  • Supporting and managing behaviour
  • Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
  • Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
  • Using formative and summative assessment
  • Promoting independence with life skills
  • Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

 
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
  • A fully checkable work history
  • Must have a driving license.
  • Preferably should have business insurance and be committed for long term.
  • Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and also must be a resilient and reliable individual.
  • Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
